After learning that two police officers in New York City were shot dead in their patrol car, 10-year-old Savannah Solis of Texas wanted to help.  She started writing thank-you notes to police officers in her area.  Then she sent some to New York.  In the span of three months she had sent over 700 thank-you notes to police officers telling them that they are her hero, lending her love and support, scribble by scribble.  She also approaches every officer she sees and asks for their autographs; 1,500 collected so far.  The 41st Precinct in The Bronx wanted to honor Solis, so she and her family were flown out to New York where the red carpet was rolled out to honor this little girl who made a big difference to so many officers.  Bring some good news to your day, and read Savannah Solis' story here.
