The Baseball Hall Of Fame has released the ballot for the Modern Baseball Era.  Two Tigers greats are included and one has been snubbed.

According to the story from the Detroit Free Press, Detroit Tigers greats Alan Trammell and Jack Morris are included on the 10 person ballot.   Former 2nd Baseman Lou Whitaker was not on the list.

The Modern Baseball Era Hall Of Fame ballot is part of a new version of the veterans committee that looks back at players who might of been overlooked by the writers.

Along with the Modern Era, there are three other era's of the game that will have players considered for the Hall.

Other notable names on the ballot include: Steve Garvey, Tommy John, Don Mattingly, Dale Murphy and Dave Parker.

The ballot is presented to a committee of 16. Those members can vote on up to four candidates.  The players must receive 12 votes or 75% to be inducted.

Both have a good chance to get the nod.  We should find out if anyone received enough votes to be inducted, when the vote is announced during the winter meetings next month.
