If you're a regular Rocker Morning Show listener, you know how I feel about most award shows. About 90 percent of them suck, are self-serving and are pre-determined. As for the other 10 percent, I count on them to have a certain amount of entertainment value and surprise.

The Golden Globes is one I annually look forward to. And for the last three years, much of the anticipation was for the open from Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. This year was not as good as the first, but it was better than last year. I found myself laughing out loud several times, and for that I'm moderately satisfied.

The rest of the show was as expected.  Many of the nominated movies and TV shows were unfamiliar and acceptance speeches were less than remarkable.  For me, it's the unseen and unheard goings-on that are the most fascinating.  And this year we were privy to some of the things overheard at last night's Golden Globes.
