The 2018 Firearm Deer Season begins tomorrow and if you are still looking for your spot to hunt here are a couple of suggestions.

According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources,  if you are still looking for a place to hunt there are properties that are a part of the hunting access program.  These are private lands where the public is allowed to hunt.

The DNR has a list of places that are a part of this program and you can check out that list here.  DNR has listed a few new areas in Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Newaygo and Mecosta counties that have been opened up for the public to hunt.

Michigan Department of Natural Resources also has a interactive map that shows the private lands that are open as well as public land that is open for hunting.

Unless you have your spot already set, both of these sites are great references for areas you may want to check out.

I have never had the chance to hunt and think both of these list would be a must read for those that are planning on going out this season.   If you are going out be safe and good luck.

For more details on deer hunting this 2018 season you can check out the Deer season section of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources site here.
