23rd Kalamazoo Blues Fest This Weekend

The only true "music festival" in Kalamazoo kicks off this Thursday.  If you love rock you're sure to love the blues.  In fact, you'll probably hear some very familiar "rock riffs" this weekend.  Some of the greatest rock bands of all time borrowed from early blues records and made the songs famous. 

We talked about that and much more this morning when K.V.B.A. members (l-r) Sue Weaver, Colleen Barker, Nick Hatzinikolis and Mike DePoian stopped by to hang out. Get ready for 2 stages, 3 days & nights and 22 acts.Thursday night features 15 year old Jake Kershaw, Monkey Junk and Groove Council. Friday night it’s the Marci Lynn Band, Karen Lovely and Sugar Ray & The Bluetones.
