Yesterday was my wife Erika and my third wedding anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than with a nice dinner out?

Since we had never been there before, we went to Malia Mediterranean Bistro in Battle Creek. We started our evening off with bruschetta, which had roma tomatoes, olive oil parmesan reggiano and seasonings, which was awesome. I also paired a Bell's Best Brown Ale with it.

For our entrees, I had what was called "melenzana & sausage linguini," which was roasted eggplant, sausage, san marzano tomatoes and fennel tossed with linguini; it was probably one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten!

My wife had one of their specials, which was diver scallops with lobster crab risotto, which looked great. We finished off our meal with a delicious peanut butter pie.

We had a great night out for our third anniversary, and I'm glad we spent it having dinner at Malia. We will be going there again.
