Summers in Michigan are all about celebrating the artistry of very talented Michiganders. The 45th Annual Richland Art Fair at the Village Square Park is coming up July 21st from 9am to 4pm. But this is more than an art fair. This is a fundraiser for the Gull Lake Area Community Volunteers who aim to help families in need by providing children with coats, snow pants, clothing, toys, toiletries, and more. They also provide educational, medical, and emergency assistance. We talk every year about the number of children in our area who are food insecure. Richland is no different. 26% of students in the Gull Lake Area Community Schools qualify for free or reduced lunch. This is an opportunity for art to change lives.

Nearly 80 artists from all over Michigan will have their wares on display. From jewelry to pottery, paintings to metal work, there will be something for everyone. There will also be a raffle, where you can buy a $2 chance to win one of the artworks donated to the fair by the artists. Plus, the Richland Library's annual book sale will be happening in the square at the same time, so this festival is truly crossing all the "t"s and dotting all the "i"s.

Here's what you need to know:

When: July 21st, 9am-4pm
