A Bit of The Bahamas in Battle Creek

I don't get invited to too many graduation open house's  but over the weekend I went with my wife to one.  She works at Pennfield High School in Battle Creek and invited me to an open house for a student ,who is from the Bahamas who graduated over the weekend.   Very different from a regular open house as they were playing Island Music, had Bahamian food such as Conch Fritters, Grouper Fingers among other things. The other thing that made it memorable was they gave everyone a gift bag that included the items you see in the photo below.  I enjoyed it and thanks not only to my wife for bringing me but to the family who put this on was excellent now only if my wife and I can actually go to the Bahamas for a Vacation!
