The 92nd annual America's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit officially kicks off at 8:45 am.

This year's festivities will include an appearance by Aretha Franklin's family, former Detroit Tigers pitcher Jack Morris and more. I've never been to the parade so I had no idea you had to buy tickets (I'm an idiot). Unfortunately, tickets are sold out for the event so I wouldn't plan on just shooting down there and hoping for the best.

Now, I've ever never been to a parade in my life aside from some small town parade or something like that so I really had no idea how much work truly went into the floats and whatnot. In the video above courtesy of WDIV, you can get a sneak peek of what really goes into the work behind America's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
