What started as dizziness and forgetfulness for Jill Salter was dismissed as vertigo. An MRI found nothing, yet her symptoms worsened, becoming seizure-like, causing slurred speech and impaired motor skills. Through a second MRI months later, doctors discovered a cyst on her pineal gland, the gland that produces melatonin and is responsible for the circadian rhythm. If Jill does not undergo brain surgery, the cyst will continue to grow and cause ever deteriorating health. Due to a lack of insurance, Jill and her husband, Cory, have to pay for this expensive surgery out of pocket.

The Klassic Arcade 2.0 in Gobles is hosting an Ice Cream Social Wednesday, August 22nd from 5pm-7pm. Get yourself a root beer float, extra sprinkles, double the whipped cream - whatever your heart (and your sweet tooth desires)! Don't be shy; the fundraiser will help Jill raise the money she needs for this important surgery. Can't make it to the Ice Cream Social but still want to help? Click here for her GoFundMe page.
