Back With a BANG

This was my knowledge of Bang: I knew they existed.

I didn't know who they were or what they sounded like — I just knew they were one of those proto-metal bands that helped kick off the genre.

When I saw that Bang got back together after a 40 year hiatus, and would be touring with Pentagram, I became intrigued.  I still didn't know much about them, but I figured seeing them live would be a great introduction to the band.

When I contacted Pentagram's manager, Pellet (who you'll remember from the Last Days Here documentary) about interviewing Pentagram, he asked me if I would also interview Bang.

I was a little reluctant at first, since I really didn't know much about them.  What followed was 12 of the most entertaining minutes I've had the pleasure of being involved in. If I wasn't a Bang fan before the interview, I sure as hell become one afterwards.  Enjoy.
