Beware the Ides of March!  Barnes & Noble is shutting down their Nook App Store and Nook Video on March 15th.  Users of the app were sent emails on Thursday, telling them that in-app services would cease to be, and instead, they are being directed for the Google Play Store.

What does this mean for your saved, but yet-to-be-read Nook downloads?  Never fear!  Anything that has already been downloaded will be accessible... but for those of you who have been stuck on the Kindle/Nook decision (since 2010), Barnes & Noble has made that decision for you.

Me?  I prefer a good-old bound copy of a tome.  The smell of the paper, the many bookmarks in my arsenal (the kitten who "hangs in there" to hold my page - or the 'squished' fairy who's "in the middle of a good book" - comedy) - there's just something comforting about a book.  That and I can't afford a Kindle... so I suppose it's REALLY lucky I'm in to the olde-fashioned way of doing things, huh?

What about you?  Classic book, or can't live without the Kindle?
