Word has it that Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Tim Burton are talking seriously about "Beetlejuice 2".  Normally, I'd be excited about the prospect.  But I think I'm headed in the opposite direction.

Here's why... I was so excited about "Dumb And Dumber To".  Jeff Daniels looked me in the eye backstage at the State Theater and told me is was going to be funny.  Then talk of "Ghostbusters 3" started back up despite Harold Ramis being gone and Bill Murray not thrilled with possible script ideas.  And now talk has turned to an all-female cast.

Maybe I've been wrong all these years; hoping against hope that we could witness magic captured twice with all the sequels.  Beetlejuice is a great movie but I don't see how fans can ever be complete or even partially satisfied.  Perhaps it's time to leave well enough alone, ya know, until I get excited about the next one.
