Better Made Chips, which are made in Detroit, Michigan are doing something they've never done before. For the first since 1930 when the family owned chip company was founded as Cross and Peters in Detroit by the late Peter Cipriano and Cross Moceri, you will now be able to purchase Better Made Chips in other states. Freep reports that because of the number of Michiganders who have left the state, and the overwhelming demand for the chip brand, the company has decided to distribute their brand to 14 other states.

These states include: Florida, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, Missouri, Louisiana, New York, Connecticut, Nevada, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Alabama and Mississippi. Sam Cipriano, the son of Peter Cipriano, told Freep about why the change is happening:

When we started in the Internet, we were trying to help people in Michigan send chips to Arizona, Florida, California, but then people in Florida were ordering them to send to other people in Florida, so we could tell there was demand. The growth of our brand is really flourishing now. We are starting to get a real foothold in several new states with smaller distributors, and are expecting to grow each market and add new states this year. The growth is due in part to our loyal customers living out of state and the desire for niche brands across the country.
