Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin is going to the NBA All Star game for the first time since 2015.

According to Detroit Bad Boys,  Griffin was one of 14 players announced as a reserve for the upcoming game on February 17th in Charlotte.

This will be his first time as a player with the Pistons.  He has played in five previous games as a member of the Clippers.

Usually the NBA All Star Game is Eastern versus Western Conference but the NBA changed it last season.   Now the format is the top two vote leaders are named captains and they get to pick teams from the players available regardless of conference.

Could we see Blake back playing with guys from the West?   The captains for the game will be Lebron James of the Lakers and Giannis Antetokounmpo from Milwaukee.

I don't remember the last time I watched an NBA All Star game but I may have to watch this one.  I am interested to see how the teams are set up and who Blake will end up playing for.

The two captains will select players live on T.N.T on February 7th.
