  Jo Pie Whyld is a Kalamazoo based singer songerwriter, who plays guitar and ukuele. Whyld identifies most with the genres of indie and freak folk music. Her folk style string playing creates a fittingly strange landscape for her moody lyrics and lilting voice. Whyld's songwriting themes stretch from whimsical stories of faeries to songs about deeply personal struggle. Whyld's inspiration to play has always been for the joy of expression.

• Love Notes Valentine Cabaret: Epic Center, 6:30-8pm, $20/$25 - "Love Notes" A Valentine Cabaret with the Touring Choir and soloists of the Kalamazoo Children's Chorus. Cafe tables for four or more include delicious deserts and non-alcoholic drinks from some of your local favorite eateries. Your ticket purchase will allow KCC to positively impact youth in our community. Share the love with Kalamazoo Children's Chorus.

Saturday, February 20th

• Kalamazoo Polar Plunge: Bell's Eccentric Cafe, 9:30a-Noon - The Kalamazoo Polar Plunge is an event in which individuals dress up in zany costumes and plunge into icy waters. Registration begins at 9:30 am, the plunge takes place at 10:30 am and the After Splash Bash follows immediately after.
