Today is the day to wear your best suit, fire up your favorite gadget and down a martini as it is Global James Bond Day.

According to 007 dot com, today is Global James Bond Day.   It is a celebration of the James Bond franchise with October 5th, 1962 the original release date for the first James Bond film, "Dr. No".

The day was launched 4 years ago during the 50 year celebration of The James Bond Films.  To this date including the recent film, "Spectre", there have been 24 official film releases.

The franchise has always been one of my all time favorites.   I have seen everyone of them and I do have a Top Five list of my favorite Bond Movies.

I haven't decided how I am going to celebrate this day.  It may involve listening to the theme music as I have most of them on CD.  It may also be finally getting around to read another one of the Ian Fleming novels that I have yet to read.

Either way it is a day to remember one of the best franchises out there.  What are you doing to celebrate Global James Bond Day?
