Brewer Wins $1,077

A lot is made of today's modern athlete.  They're bigger, stronger, faster, smarter.  OK, bigger, stronger and faster.  They transcend the abilities we mortals have to work so hard to attain — on a level that, at times, seems super-human, god-like and not of this world.

Brandon Brewer is none of those things.  No.  He's just a dude who was gullible enough to sign up for "Puck Push 2" on Saturday night at The K-Wings Game.  In fact, during pre-push, Brandon confided in me that he may be making a mistake — that, perhaps, this was a lapse in judgment and that all that he had worked for to become the Brandon Brewer standing before us may cease to exist!

"Na," I said.  "Have a couple more beers."

And then I said something that will stay with Mr. Brewer for the rest of his life, "It's all about the stories."

Well, the story that will be handed down from Brewer generation to Brewer generation is that Brandon conquered his fears with the help of some beers and won the second Puck Push Saturday night and took home $1,077 from Seat n Sleep.
