It has been a down year for the Chicago White Sox, who will miss the playoffs once again this season.  There was however a bright spot recently as the team recently set an attendance record.

According to Rolling Stone,  The White Sox recent "Bark At The Park"  night broke a Guinness World Record for most dogs attending a sporting event. This is the annual event that allows fans to bring their dogs to the stadium.

The team was originally wanting to get around a 1,000 dogs they ended up beating the record with 1,122 dogs in attendance.

All the dogs must of inspired the team as the White Sox ended up beating the visiting Cleveland Indians 8-1.

The record was set in the 3rd inning.   Since this is an annual event, I wonder if they will attempt to beat this record again next summer?
