A heavyweight movie studio, Universal Pictures, is betting the story of a female boxer from Flint, Michigan  who rose to Olympic glory will be a box office knockout.

I'm excited and now all I can think is, 'Who's going to play me in the movie? I think Ice Cube should play (my ex-trainer) Jason (Crutchfield), and KeKe Palmer should play me.

Ten of the Team U.S.A. Olympians competing in Rio were from the state of Michigan, and Claressa was one of the best. Her gold medal victory makes her the first American boxer, male or female, to win an Olympic title twice in a row.

The road to get there was as hard-fought as Rocky Balboa. The "Italian Stallion" came up on the streets of Philadelphia and "T-Rex" grew up in Flint with her father in prison for many of her early years. Like the fictional boxer Sylvester Stallone is best known for, Claressa went the distance and her story has a happy ending. Rocky has gone 7 rounds so far, Claressa Shields has had 2 Olympics and now a movie...what's next?
