CNN just released a ranking of the Top Ten Up-and-Coming Wine Regions of the World, and Michigan sits nicely between Swartland, South Africa, and Franciacorta, Italy.

Italy, dudes.  That says a LOT about our wines.

According to CNN: "the new wines coming out of this highly undervalued region -- particularly those from the Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsulas -- are fantastic.

"Standouts include semi-dry German and Alsatian varietals like riesling (the region's most widely planted grape), gewurzrtraminer and traminette." (Mmmm... traminette....)

Congratulations, Michigan!  Read the full list here.
