For the first time since 2003, ESPN will make its way to Mid-American Conference country for their Saturday college football pregame show, College Gameday, as they come to Kalamazoo to broadcast at Western Michigan University.

The Western Michigan Broncos are 10-0 and are one of just two teams in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision that are undefeated (the other is top-ranked Alabama). The remain ranked at 14th in the Associated Press poll and 21st in the Amway Coaches poll. There was no movement this week for the Broncos, who topped the Kent State Golden Flashes 37-21 on November 8th.

This week the Broncos will take on the Buffalo Bulls, the final MAC non-divisional game on the regular season schedule, on Saturday at 3:30pm. The Bulls are 2-8 on the season and have lost two straight after Saturday's 35-24 loss to the Miami (OH) Redhawks.

One of the many traditions of College Gameday is having a celebrity with local ties or hosting school roots. While I don't have any true insight with the my Western Michigan ties, here are just a few suggestions...

Terry Crews
One of the stars of Fox's "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and part of the cast of all three Expendables movies, Terry Crews played at Western Michigan from 1987 to 1990 as a linebacker. A National Football League career followed, playing seven seasons before retiring. Crews also is well known on several Old Spice commercials and flexing his pectorals.

One of many Old Spice commercials...

Greg Jennings
The recently retired wide receiver has really deep roots in Kalamazoo. The Kalamazoo Central graduate played at Western Michigan from 2002 to 2005. In July, Jennings announced his retirement after playing nine seasons in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins. He still returns to Kalamazoo quite often with work for his charity, the Greg Jennings Foundation.

Tim Allen
"The Toolman" didn't play football for the Broncos, but the voice behind Buzz Lightyear and the star of ABC's "Last Man Standing" and "Home Improvement" is a Western grad. Allen has his television production degree from Western Michigan in 1975.

Kate Upton
Don't get me wrong, but this is a little bit of a long shot. Upton has no direct ties to Western Michigan other than her uncle, US Congressman Fred Upton, representing the area from decades. The future Mrs. Justin Verlander was born in St. Joseph and is a huge sports fan.

Of course, there are several other possible celebrities that could be the one making this week's college football picks. The College Gameday broadcast begins at 9am Saturday in the pedestrian mall of Sangren Hall. The university states that the area will be open for between 6am and 7am.

So, who do you think it should be? Vote now on the poll!
