The Detroit Tigers are playing on the west coast right now and have not been able to do much with their bats, but someone using a sledgehammer had some successful swings during a vandalism spree at their home field early Monday monday.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Detroit police officers were called to Comerica Park at around 2:30am. A security guard had discovered damage to several doors and windows at the The D Shop which is located at the front entrance. There were also two doors damaged nearby at The Corner Tap Room. The suspect did not actually attempt to get inside the park complex and reportedly fled on foot after the vandalism.

Repair crews are already working to replace the damaged doors and windows at those businesses. Meanwhile, police said the motive is unclear. The Detroit Tigers are 47-65 on the season and scored only one run in a three game weekend sweep on the road at the hands of the Oakland Athletics.
