WARNING: THE FOLLOWING BLOG IS ONE GIANT TRAIN OF THOUGHT.

To be completely honest, I was never the biggest fan of Hammer Horror.  Now, that's not to say that I hate these films.  I think they're very good movies, but I've always gravitated more towards the Universal Horror films over the Hammer ones.  I wanted to include at least one Hammer film in these blogs, but it's hard to narrow it down to just one, just like I could never pick just one Universal film to write about.  So, instead of picking one Hammer film, I decided to dedicate today to Hammer Horror and write about a handful of these films that I think are worth watching.

One of the things I love about Hammer are those giant, gothic castles featured in their films.  Universal did a great job of that too, but when you watch a Universal film, it looks more like a painting sitting in the background.  Hammer got those real old gothic English castles with the gargoyles sitting on top and the cemeteries close by...The best example of this is in Horror of Dracula starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing (who would end up starring in 99.99999% of Hammer's movies).  And yes, just like Universal Horror, Hammer's movies all had nine sequels a piece.

Now, the one secret weapon, the ace up the sleeve if you will, that Hammer had were those big busted women.  I mean, hot damn!  Hammer Horror did not skimp on the cleavage.  Every Hammer film is filled with beautiful, buxom women.

If you love big busted broads, and gothic horror films, then give Hammer Horror a try.  The three I recommend are Horror of Dracula, The Mummy, and The Curse of Frankenstein.  TCM shows these during the Halloween season, so hit up their website and find out when they're showing.
