The king of horror comedies, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein is funny when it's supposed to be funny, and scary when it's supposed to be scary.  And let me tell you, the funny parts are really funny.  So who cares if the jokes are kind of dated?  Good humor is good humor, and this, is good humor.  And don't forget the terror!  When this needs to be scary, it's scary.  Seriously, the perfect blend of comedy and terror.  I dare you to make it through the trailer without laughing!

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello work for a shipping company and they receive a crate that's carrying the body of Dracula.  Well, Dracula escapes, and chaos ensues.  Dracula, the Wolf Man and our boy, the Frankenstein's monster, are all present, making this one of the best monster mash-ups in horror history.

Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein is the second, and last time, Bela Lugosi would play the role of Dracula, and he's just as amazing in this as he is in Dracula.  Lon Chaney Jr. reprises his role as the Wolf Man, with Glenn Strange playing the role of the monster.  And don't forget about that great cameo from Vincent Price at the end!  This is the movie that really turned me on to Universal Horror, so if you're new to the "classic" era of horror films, this is a great place to start.
