Night of the Creeps is one of those movies you might have seen on late night Cinemax or the USA Network one night.  I wouldn't go as far as calling it a horror comedy, but it doesn't take it self too seriously, which is probably why I love it so much.  Plus, it's a great throwback to 50s science fiction and creature features.

Night of the Creeps is about slugs from outer space that wind up on Earth and turn people into zombies.  What's not to love!?  And how about this tagline, "The good news is your date is here.  That bad news is...he's dead."  If you love zombie films, there's zombies.  If you love alien films, there's aliens.  If you love cheesy one liners, there's cheesy one liners.  If you love Tom Atkins, there's Tom Atkins!!!  I mean, seriously, this movie has it all!

Night of the Creeps won't scare you by any means, but it's the perfect movie to watch on a Saturday night with your buddies and a case of beer.  It's currently streaming on Netflix too, so you have no excuse not to watch it.  I love being scared, but I also love having a fun time, and that's exactly what this movie is, a fun movie.

Editor’s note: Each day in October, Ramone is picking a classic (or cheesy) horror film to review and share.
