The Red Wings will host the newest team in the NHL the Vegas Golden Knights on March 8. The game will be an NHL Green Night which will be dedicated to environmental awareness.

According to the Red Wings,  the game against the Golden Knights will be an NHL Green night.  The game  will see the Little Caesars Arena partnered with DTE Energy to help provide carbon free electricity  all home games in March.    That will help reduce the Carbon footprint for the arena in downtown Detroit.

Some fans in attendance at the game against Vegas will receive green long sleeve t shirts.  There will also be in game segments through out the game highlighting the NHL green initiatives and getting fans involved in environmental issues.

As the Red Wings continue to struggle in the East,  the Golden Knights are among the best teams in the league and are continuing to be a possible Stanley Cup favorite.

This game will be the first game for the leagues newest team in Detroit.  It will also see the return of former Red Wings forward, Tomas Tatar since he was traded at the trade deadline last month.
