Detroit Tigers Players Who Will Be In The World Baseball Classic

Spring Training is coming up as well as another edition of the World Baseball Classic.  As expected the Detroit Tigers will have a few of their everyday stars on team rosters. 

According to CBS Sports, Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez , Francisco Rodriguez and Bruce Rondon will be apart of Team Venezuela.

Ian Kinsler will be apart of Team United States.

The Tigers will also have a few of their minor league players on rosters.  Joe Jimenez will be on Team Puerto Rico, William Cuevas with Columbia, Dustin Molleken with Canada and Travis Blackley with Australia.

Former Tigers manager Jim Leyland will manage the Americans.   Current Tigers coach Omar Vizquel will be the manager for Venezuela.

The tournament this year will start on March 6th.  There is Pool A, B, C, D with first round games taking place in South Korea, Japan, Miami and Jaisco, Mexico.   For details on the format you can click here.

The games will be featured on the MLB Network.   The Championship game will take place at Dodgers Stadium in L.A.  on March 22nd.
