It has been a very forgettable season in Detroit for the Tigers and with only a few weeks left, the team is starting to look ahead.  The home schedule for 2018 spring training games in Lakeland, Florida has been released.

According to M-Live, the Tigers will start their spring season at Joker Marchant Stadium on February 22nd against Florida Southern College.  Toronto will be the first big league team on the spring schedule as they are in Lakeland on February 24th.

A couple of playoff teams are coming to town this spring as the Yankees are in on March 6th, 17th and 20th.   The Washington Nationals are also set to be in Lakeland on March 12th.

The spring schedule wraps up on March 26th vs the Tampa Bay Rays.   So far only the home schedule has been released.  Road games will be announced later.

The 2018 regular season will start early this year as the Tigers are scheduled to host the Pittsburgh Pirates for an interleague match up in Detroit on March 29th.

This year thankfully is almost done but next year will be here before you know it.
