This Doritos Vending Machine at Wayne State University in Detroit Gives Students ‘No Choice’ If They’re Not Registered to Vote
When picking out a bag of Doritos the choices are pretty simple, Nacho or Cool Ranch. But for students at Wayne State University in Detroit, they received 'no choice' Doritos if they were not registered to vote.
The gimmick vending machine was set up as part of a Doritos campaign with the Rock The Vote organization. If a student was a registered voter, they got a bag of chips. However non-voters received a bag without chips but a piece of paper stating,
No taste, no crunch, no choice. Because if you don't vote someone else chooses for you - just like this.
The non-voters were then offered a chance to register by imputing their email and getting more information on the process.
