It was a big weekend both onstage and on the small screen for Eddie Vedder as the musician played the Ohana Festival in Dana Point, Calif. on Saturday, then turned up as one of the special guests during Sunday's season finale of Showtime's series Roadies.

During his appearance on Roadies, Vedder was one of several musicians who gathered to mourn the death of legendary roadie Phil Valentine (played by Ron White). The singer joined the likes of Jackson Browne, Robyn Hitchcock, Gary Clark Jr. and others paying their respects to the fictional character in a highly attended memorial at the Forum in Los Angeles. Vedder's role included a speaking part, sharing an anecdote about how Phil didn't care for encores, but then Vedder broke out his guitar and performed "Man of the Hour" as his salute. A brief snippet can be seen in the Showtime trailer above.

In real life, Vedder was making the most of the stellar Saturday lineup (Aug. 27) at the Ohana Festival in Dana Point, Calif. The singer was set to headline the evening, but he made several appearances throughout the day performing with the other acts on the bill. The singer enjoyed a Pearl Jam reunion of sort, teaming up with drummer Jack Irons during his set on an experimental version of Pink Floyd's "Shine on You Crazy Diamond." He'd later return to play "The New World" with X during their set, and join Elvis Costello on "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding."

As for Vedder's own set, it featured a mix of Vedder solo material, Pearl Jam songs and covers like Cat Stevens' "Trouble," Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage," The Beatles' "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away," Cat Power's "Good Woman," Indio's "Hard Sun" and the show-closing jam of Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World." See fan-shot footage of Vedder's many appearances throughout the day below.
