Pop-Up restaurants seem to be all the rage, and relatively risk free. If it isn't successful you can always claim it was just a joke. If it is successful you have something great to add to your brand. Detroit's own Eminem jumped on the Pop-Up restaurant bandwagon with "Mom's Spaghetti" (of course), and served up pasta and exclusive merch to hundreds of eager fans.

The restaurant was only open from December 15th through the 17th, and according to the Detroit Free Press, they served over 100 pounds of pasta in the first three hours. Mostly it was a promotional vehicle for his new record, "Revival," and gave fans an opportunity to dine while listening to the album before making the purchase. Marketing tactic aside, you have to admit it's pretty cool that Slim Shady himself was on hand to hang out with fans, take pictures, and sign autographs.

You might not have had time to get your hands on some of  "Mom's Spaghetti," but I'm sure it's not the last time you'll see this pasta make an appearance.
