As the Sweet 16 starts up tonight in the NCAA tournament, another team from Michigan is still alive for a championship as Ferris State has made it to the final four of Division II.

The Bulldogs are the number 1 seed according to M-Live in the Division II college basketball tournament with a 36-1 record.   That is the best record in the nation and has shattered the schools previous best by 8 wins.

They are set to play  number 4 seeded West Texas A&M tonight (March 22nd) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. and can be seen on the CBS Sports Network cable channel.

If Ferris State advances they will play the winner of Queens (N.C.) and Northern State (S.D.) for the Division II National Title on Saturday afternoon (March 24th).

Being the top seed they're the favorites so we will see if they can make it to the title game this weekend.

Ferris State isn't the only team from the state still playing in March.  Michigan is in the Sweet 16 and will take on Texas A&M tonight out in L.A.   Number 11 seeded Central Michigan University Women's team is still alive in the Women's tournament as they recently upset Ohio State and will play Oregon Saturday Night.
