Over the Memorial Day Weekend, my wife and I were in Indiana visiting the area that my grandparents are from. Summitville is near the town of Fairmount, which happens to be the hometown of James Dean

I have seen all the sites in town, but this was a chance to show my wife who hasn't.  I have heard a few stories about James Dean from my grandmother, who told me that my grandfather used to fill up the gas tank in his Indian motorcycle.

My dad told me he remembers being 10 years old, sitting on the curb watching the hearse drive to the cemetery when James Dean died in 1955.

We didn't get a chance to visit the Gallery, which is one of the museums in town, but we did make it out to the cemetery to see his grave site.

I hope the next time in town my wife and I can visit the museums. If you have ever been a fan of James Dean, you should visit Fairmount.
