During the opening week of the National Football League season, the amount of debuts that begin every season can be lost in just moments. For Western Michigan Broncos fans, one debut didn't go unnoticed.

After battling an hamstring injury in the preseason, former Bronco and current Tennessee Titans receiver Corey Davis took to the field in his first game in the NFL against the visiting Oakland Raiders.

Davis would catch six passes on the afternoon for 69 yards in the 26-16 loss to the Silver and Black. He was targeted 10 times on the day, and would grab the second most receptions for the Titans, behind tight end Delanie Walker's seven receptions.

Davis, the fifth overall pick in the 2017 for Tennessee, did not see any action in the preseason due to a hamstring injury and had off-season surgery on his ankle following Western Michigan's record-setting 13-1 season.

The Titans return to action Sunday, September 17th in Jacksonville to take on the 1-0 Jaguars. The Jags were 29-7 winners over the Houston Texans in Week 1.
