“Goldbergs” Star On The Rocker Morning Show

Tune in tomorrow morning just after 7 as we welcome back one of our favorite guests Wendi-McLendon-Covey who stars in the ABC/SONY hit series THE GOLDBERGS. Her portrayal of “smother extraordinaire” Beverly Goldberg earned her a Critic’s Choice nomination after just one season.

Wendi was recently cast in the film ARMY OF ONE which is set to begin production later this Spring and will be distributed by The Weinstein Company.  The film, directed by Larry Charles, also stars Nicolas Cage and follows the comedic true story of Gary Faulkner, a Colorado construction worker who travels to Pakistan — 11 times — on a self-proclaimed mission to capture Osama Bin Laden. Wendi was most recently seen on the big screen last year starring in BLENDED, opposite Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, THINK LIKE A MAN TOO opposite Kevin Hart and Taraji Henson, and SINGLE MOM’S CLUB opposite Terry Crews and Nia Long.

Wendi got her start at the world famous “Groundling Theater” in Los Angeles, where she excelled at improv and sketch comedy. Wendi is best known for her starring roles in BRIDESMAIDS, RENO 911, LOVESPRING INTERNATIONAL, and RULES OF ENGAGEMENT. Other upcoming film appearances include: HELLO, MY NAME IS DORIS with Sally Field, and THE BREAKUP GIRL, with Shannon Woodward and Mary Kay Place.
