There are a lot of charity events going on every weekend in our area. Many of them are charity runs and all of them are important.

Probably the most unique is the DCpocalypse Saturday night at Spring Valley Park off of Gull Road in Kalamazoo.

It's only $35 and you get to run from zombies! What's better than that? Well I'll tell you what's better. All money raised helps DC Strong help kids with cancer.

The DCpocalypse 5K is a nighttime zombie apocalypse themed event that pits survivors against waves of the undead! Each participant will be given three "life strips" to protect while trying to evade the monsters that lurk around every corner, every tree and probably in that bush over there.
