Group Therapy: What’s Something People Only Do Because it’s “Cool”… and Would NEVER Do Otherwise?

Our friends at Reddit.com posted the question: "What's something people only do because it's "cool" that they would never do otherwise?"  Some of the responses they got were:

1. Sagging their pants
2. Wearing high heels
3. Acting stupid or ignorant
4. Tanning
5. Buying designer clothes instead of cheaper clothes
6. Smoking
7. Wearing shoes with laces when Velcro is so much easier
8. Waxing body hair.

So... what's something you've done, or have seen other people do to be "cool," that you wouldn't do otherwise?
