It looks like your kids might need coats over their costumes for trick-or-treating, but likely won't need boots, according to a long range forecast for Halloween 2016.

AccuWeather.com reports the forecast for the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek area for October 31 calls for sunshine with a high in the mid-50s, however nighttime lows will fall to the freezing point at 32.

That forecast is within the average range for the area, with October 31 generally bringing highs in the mid-50s and lows in the mid-30s. The record low temperature for Halloween is 18 in Battle Creek and 21 in Kalamazoo.
