Helping Hungry Kids

The "Dollar Drive Through" in July went a long way to helping the thousands of hungry kids in our area get fed and get fed right.  During the Summer months many kids miss1 or maybe 2 guaranteed meals not being in school which causes a serious problem.  But it's always good to be reminded that an event only scratches the surface and we need a consistent effort.

The folks at Power Up Packs wanted to let us know that during the school year there are a growing number of kids (some of the same who miss those meals in the Summer) who miss meals on the weekends.  We're talking around 362 kids from 9 schools in the Portage area and they want to make a difference one backpack at a time.  For more information about how you can help contact Adrian McClelland  adrianmomof3@gmail.com/ 269.744.6475.
