Starting Saturday Morning February 4th,  I-75 Southbound over the River Rouge will be close for two years from Detroit to the south.

From the story at M-Live,  the closure is part of a project to repair the highway as well as the bridge over the river.

The closure will happen at I-96 to Dix highway.   The northbound lane will stay open but will have lane closures appear next year.

There is a detour which includes I-96 through Livonia and South I-275 back to I-75.  There will also be other bridge work done along the route during the closure.

Something to keep in mind if you end up in that area over the next few years.
