We've all heard about ridiculous laws in some states; like how dogs are forbidden to chase people or animals in Kentucky, or that it'ts illegal to wipe your car with used underwear in parts of California. Makes you wonder how big of an epidemic San Francisco saw of used-underwear-car-wipers for representatives to bring that to the table. Actually, don't wonder...*shudders*

It took me by surprise to learn that Michigan has an archaic law on the books dating back to the early 1930s that aims to protect the chastity and virtue of unmarried women. According to the Michigan Legislature, Michigan Penal Code statute 750.532 states:

Any man who shall seduce and debauch any unmarried woman shall be guilty of a felony, punishable by imprisonment in the state prison not more than 5 years or by fine of not more than 2,500 dollars...

Layman's terms? Seducing a single woman could land you in jail. Obviously this law is no longer enforced, but if it were, a lot of us would have a lot of explaining to do...
