Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein opens September 22nd at The Civic Theatre. It's everything you love from the classic Brooks movie, plus musical numbers, fantastic costumes, and more cleavage than you can shake a stick at.  For real. It is recommended that patrons use their discretion, but this show is intended for teens an adults.

The Civic describes the plot:

The grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen") inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor, and the lovely lab assistant Inga, Frederick follows in his grandfather s footsteps. "It's Alive!" he exclaims as he gives rise to a creature to rival his grandfather's.

Running through October 8th, with both evening and matinee performances, there's no excuse to miss the first production of The Civic's 89th season.

Here's the skinny:

  • Performances will be held at the Main Stage of The Civic Theatre
  • Tickets are $25/adults, $20/seniors and students, $15/children (again, this is an adult show, so use your discretion when bringing children)
