I guess playing sold out stadiums and headlining Download Festival isn't all it's cracked up to be.

The band released a statement saying, quote, "It is with great pain but quiet respect that, for personal reasons, Joey Jordison and Slipknot are parting ways.  We all wish Joey the best in whatever his future holds."

Not sure what Joey's going to do.  I assume he'll be focusing all of his time on his new band, Scar the Martyr.  Have fun playing have empty clubs.

To be honest, this doesn't affect me because I'm not a Slipknot fan.  I liked the costumes the first time I saw them, when GWAR did it 25 years ago.
