License plates haven't changed in their basic form for as long as I can remember.  They still look like they are made in prisons.  Sure we are now able to have different backgrounds and, of course, there are the vanity plates but they're still made of metal and still the same size.  One thing I have noticed on mine is that the letters & numbers reflector material is peeling off and the actual identification of my plate is questionable.  Maybe it's time for a change.

According to clickondetroit.com, Michigan will be one of the first states to implement digital technology license plates as the legislature voted to bring them online and you'll be able to get them pretty soon.  It's called an Rplate an it will be a high-definition digital display that will be connected to your car's computer system which will allow things like automatic renewals and display personal messages much like an electronic billboard.  Get more of the details by clicking HERE.
