The Sixth Annual Kalamazoo Hot Dog Walk, which took place Saturday afternoon, raised enough money to provide 3000 meals for Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.

According to MLive.Com, the walk, which began as a fun afternoon for three friends, has evolved into a school bus full of people paying $45 for a bus ride, hot dogs and a t-shirt.

The bus stops at six locations, around Kalamazoo, and the participants quaff hot dogs with proceeds going to Loaves and Fishes.

The fundraiser was quickly sold-out, as there were only 50-seats available on the bus. One of the founders of the event, Kevin King, said that two buses will be needed next year, so that nobody will be left-out.
