This is big news for area homeless. The Kalamazoo County Fights Hunger Fund is  raising money for a one-of-a-kind mobile soup kitchen. Imagine being hungry and knowing that the soup kitchen is scheduled to stop just blocks from you. A mobile hero, right? A knight in shining metal and glass? Monday through Friday, this truck would hit all it's stops, taking the edge off of a hungry stomach one person at a time. If the first truck is successful, they hope to obtain a fleet of 12 trucks in an effort to serve 600,000 dinners annually. That's a huge undertaking, and they cannot do it without you.

According to facts provided by Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes for the GoFundMe page set up by Pastor William Stein, 1 out of 6 people in Kalamazoo are food insecure, and that includes for than 10,000 children. They are our teachers, our neighbors, fellow Michiganders in need. They are veterans. They are survivors. They are not invisible. And you can help.
