This morning Kellogg's took to Twitter to address what appears to show a racially insensitive image. According to the Detroit Free Press Novelist Saladin Ahmed questioned the back of the current Kellogg's Corn Pops box.

In the image is a mall setting populated by corn pops. However, what came across odd to the Marvel "Black Bolt" writer is that the lone "brown" corn pop is the only one in a janitor outfit; cleaning the floor with a floor buffer. Ahmed took to Twitter to get some answers.
(VIA Saladin Ahmed's Twitter Account):

After Kellogg's Twitter account responded to the tweet confirming it would pull the product, Kris Charles, a spokesperson for Kellogg told USA TODAY that :

The Kellogg Company has respect for all people, and our commitment to diversity and inclusion has long been a top priority. We take feedback very seriously, and it was never our intention to offend anyone. We apologize sincerely. The package artwork has been updated and will begin to appear on store shelves soon as it flows through distribution.

Do you think people are being overly sensitive about the image or do you agree that it was a direct insult?
