After being eligible for 15 years, KISS will FINALLY be inducted into the 2014 class of the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame.  Even though I'm kind of a Rock Hall hater (why did it take 15 years for KISS to be inducted, yet half of the rap community is already in the rock hall?) it's important for KISS.  With KISS being inducted it shows that after you strip away the makeup, the stage show, the glitz/glamor, the merchandise, the chest hair, etc...you're left with 4 dudes from New York who actually wrote great rock songs, and influenced hundreds of guys to pick up a guitar and start jamming (Dimebag Darrell anyone?).

To clarify, the 4 original members of KISS will be inducted.  Even though Tommy and Eric Singer will most likely be in attendance, the original 4 will be the ones on stage to accept the award.  I'm curious how that's going to play out, because Gene hasn't said the nicest things about Ace or Peter over the past few years (he even went as far as calling Ace a cancer).  Is Gene finally swallowing his pride and doing what's right, or is he doing this because if he told Ace and Peter to "eff" off, the backlash would be so great, he'd have trouble covering his ass?  I really hope it's the former of the two...

According to Wikipedia: Counting the 1978 solo albums, Kiss has been awarded 28 gold albums to date, the most of any American rock band.[2] The band has sold more than 40 million albums in the United States, of which 20 million have been certified by the RIAA[3] and their worldwide sales exceeds 100 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time.
