It's no secret that we at The Rocker give our full support to the Law Enforcement agencies in our area.  More and more I realize how fortunate we are to live in communities that are relatively safe, and that is due to the brave men & women who serve and protect.

Considering recent events involving the public and police we should also feel fortunate that we can count on our protectors to be fair and conscientious. An officer once said on our show that usually when you interact with Law Enforcement it's probably not a good day.  You did something or somebody did something to you.

Well take this opportunity to interact with Kalamazoo Public Safety during "America's National Night Out."

On Tuesday, August 4, citizens throughout Kalamazoo are invited to join forces with thousands of communities across our great nation for National Night Out 2015: America’s night out against crime.

This year celebrates the 32nd Annual National Night Out event. On this occasion, residents in neighborhoods throughout Kalamazoo and across the nation are asked to promote police-community partnerships; crime, drug and violence prevention; safety, and neighborhood unity. Many neighborhoods will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, and youth activities.

Events in the City of Kalamazoo will be hosted by the following neighborhoods:

  • ARCADIA- Neighborhood Association, Arcadia School, 6:00-8:00 PM
  • EASTSIDE- Neighborhood Association, Rockwell Park at the corner
  • Trimble/Humphries from 5:00-7:00 PM
